I'll try to make a very long story short... An editor with the Wall Street Journal (a terrific person and professional), working on a story about the great European cemeteries, found the B&W image below on my blog. She followed it back to SmugMug, sent me an email asking to use it and possibly others. Two days and 18 emails later it was published on the front page (I was told this but the print papers are in the mail to me from London) of the article section of the paper (they changed to a color spread). Here's the Tear Sheet photo of page 1 in SmugMug X3:

The woman at the WSJ was great, the license fee was healthy (I requested the fees be donated to UNICEF in my father's name), and everything went like clockwork.
It's also on the Wall Street Journal Europe Online site this weekend under "Tomb Travel." However, in the print version, as you can see on the tear sheet shot linked above, my image got great placement under the title and is about a quarter of the whole page. But online, all the photos are turned into postage stamp sized images, with clicks to degraded mid-sized pics... I prefer the print version :)) - It's also #5 (oops, just fell to #7 :)) in the "Days Most Emailed Articles" list. I look forward to working with these people again - It was kind of a fun experience overall...
