I just created a new gallery (Journal style) and when I want to add description, it freezes and gives me "error on page".

Please help.

Hm, what happens if you set appearance to SmugMug in the gallery settings?

Thanks for your quick reply Andy.

Where the problem persist, is when I have the gallery open (blank screen) and I click on edit gallery description, I input my code, and as soon as I hit save, it freezes and says in bottom left status bar - "error on page"

I just tried something while I was waiting for an answer.
When I go back one screen, with category/gallery view, and I click on customize gallery (which will take me straight to the customization, and input the code from there, now it works. This is funny, as I have created many of these and have not had problems before.

Also, when I am in a JOURNAL type gallery, all options I have at the right top is "Add Photos" and "Themes" - unlike my other normal Smugmug themed galleries. This is an old problem and found ways around it if I need to go to customization, but it will be great if that could be fixed also.

It is okay if I change it to SMUG as gallery type. Only when I have it in JOURNAL, then that happens.

No, that's not what I meant. I meant, when you are in journal, and you use appearance=SmugMug in gallery customizing.

Ok, I tried that now, and it accepted it (from gallery description) but my CSS is not recognized. Have a look quickly.

Hi,

I'm not getting any errors on that page, not in Firefox or Safari on the Mac, or IE on the PC. Which version of IE are you seeing the error in?

Also, if you are not seeing the tools buttons when you go into a gallery, and you are logged in, do a refresh while in the gallery, which should set your domain cookie and show the tools.

Thanks Barb, I was away since Friday, and could only test it now again. It seems to be working right now with copying the code the way I did when I found the "error on page".
Also, the tools buttons are there now.

1) I have the same problem in this gallery now. Tried to edit the gallery description contents, and get "error on page".
2) Also tools button is only showing "Add photos" & "Themes"
3) Sorry, adding on as I come accross problems. The entire footer is missing as well (Login, powered by Smugmug, etc.)

Hi, I have started a thread in Dgrin, but do not seem to get help/responses there/here.

I just created this new gallery in JOURNAL style.
1) Tools menu is incomplete (missing 2 buttons) only available is Add photos and Themes.
2) When I update the gallery description box with my html code, it says "error on page" in the status bar down below.
3) The entire footer is missing as well (Login, powered by Smugmug, etc.)
