Is that thick glob of water just a trick played on the camera? I don't recall seeing any waterfall like that? Up close the photo looks like globs of glue on the left edge of water, lolol.
Any comments on this appreciated, and if you want to critique, please do.
Thank you!

Ah, Cascade Falls, Yosemite, around mid-day. Like the shot, made me homesick. I grew up about 5 miles from that spot. In fact on Friday while looking at this shot, and others on your site, it inspired me to head up there for a day trip yesterday.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Between the shifts or gusts of wind and cyclic flow I have seen the falls throw out a lot of water that looks as if it came from somewhere else. I was going to try to stand in the same spot and take a couple pictures of my own yesterday but I was there about 9:00 AM and the bulk of the falls was still in shadow.

Thanks Tom, glad you got up there! Yes it was early June. Lots of water this year. I want to go back too. I will find this pic and crop a full size corner of the globby water, lol. Its hard to see when smaller. You got the name right! I had forgotten it, thanks! Pretty impressive falls for just entering the valley.

You lived there, funny, I met a guy at CompUSA the other day that also said he used to live there. Not a bad place to live! The skiing had to be fine too...
next time I want to do a pano on the glacier summit. Fun trip, bet its hotter now. 107* in Fresno, WOW. Parents live in Visalia.

Thanks Ben, heres a closer look at the problem? You can see the globbiness better here on the left side of the water, I guess its because its a slightly slow shutterspeed??:dunno :

The mist can really diffuse the light. Think of how a picture would look if you tried to take a picture through that famous Tule fog we have here in Fresno and down in Visalia. The fog diffuses somewhat like the mist.

I pulled out an old picture of Cascade that I have that was taken from the same spot. It looks quite a bit like yours The right side is more in the direct light and looks pretty sharp but on the left it is similar to yours. I think it is less noticeable when you see the water moving.
