Does "continuous" mean video or burst mode?

I think they mean burst if I understand what you're asking.

Another story that I saw said "burst mode". I haven't seen anything indicating that it happens in video mode too.

based on the description of the issue, many people may not have even noticed it. Just depends on several factors I guess.

I have shot continuously and have not noticed anything. I'm sure we will get a firmware update soon.

it's based on continuous 8fps, and noticeable whenever you do a lot of PP especially with levels.

I guess the 7D must be pretty fast ;)

http://bit.ly/2FQ4xAHow long before some paranormal investigator figures out how to capitalize on this handy "feature" of the 7D? :rofl

BTW, for certain images (like the BIF in that link) this "feature" would be fun to play around with.

Why not use the multiple exposure function (not sure if the 7D has it)

Why not use the multiple exposure function (not sure if the 7D has it) It's been so long since I used a camera that could do multi-exp that I forget some digitals do have that feature. One of the many reasons I wish the camera makers would open up their firmwares for outside developers.

I guess they pushed the envelope too far with 8ps, and didn't manage to "reset" (clear) the sensels properly, so some residual (leftover) charge came to play.
I have the outmost faith in Canon engineering, and I'm sure the next firmware upgrade will fix it.:deal
In the mean time - expose properly! :wink

Ever since I had a total knee replacement and was one of the first recipients of a 'great new artificial joint produced by Sulzer Medica" and I had to have the joint cut out and replaced two months later because it was defective; I let other people test out any new gear.

Doubtless, a defective knee joint is more serious than a piece of photo gear that needs tweaking - but, I still let other photographers do the Q.A. (that the manufacturer has neglected to do) on any new gear.

Of course the "Canon God's" would never let anything of their factory that has not been totally quality controlled! Or would they? Do you remember the focus problems with the 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens at focal lengths over 200mm in the vertical position? I do!
