My kids and their friends play Airsoft, but they just put on goggles and run around the house. These guys look much more hard core.

I like to see faces more in sports photos but that might be hard here without getting shot. Take away that golf flag staff looking thing and those blue barrels and it looks like a WWII scene from Private Ryan.

Does that camouflage gear really help them hide?

WWII, nah, camo and guns are out of place.

Whether camo works or not is about the same as Nikon vs canon. Honestly, at less than 300', you'll be spotted unless you camo is design specifically for the environment.
I do get plenty of face shots. I get shot plenty, too :rolleyes. I use museum grade Acrylic filter to protect my lens now :wink
