I returned this past weekend to the Beckler River valley to do some further poking around since the weekend before yielded such great fall color. Wind and weather during the past week has pretty much ended most fall color so compositions weren't as easy as last time.

This is a compilation between two days-

very nice series. I especially like the processing job on #3- the white balance is on and the greens really pop without being overdone. my only suggestion would be to decrease the warmth a little in a few, its causing the water to have a yellow/orange tint. Nice job :thumb

Thanks for the comments, Chris. If your comments are directed at photos 1,2, or 4, the color is basically correct. Those photos were taken at the tail end of a storm so I think the water itself was changed by the rainfall. I was surprised because the water up in the mountain streams generally runs clearer (unless carrying sediment!).

As a general comment, these photos have zero color correction. I've only done some level and shadow/highlight adjustments.

Thanks! :D

I wouldn't have expected that reaction for this particular one but that's the beauty of photography. I took several shots with slightly different compositions as some sunbreaks drifted through the area..

Great shots. Rapid River looks like it's living up to its name. :nod

That rainbow is intense!

Very nice series 3, 9, 10, 11 and 12 have to be way up there on my favorite list. Hard to chose. Love the flow of the water, the mossy green rocks and the dead wood in these shots.

I agree with Chris. Try and rework 1,2 and 4. It might help.
