The day before hurricane Dennis hit islamorada i took these.

And 1 hour before the outer bands hit, and we drove back to Miami. Dark Skies.

These are prett cool. I really like the gazebo shot with the bright foreground and the impending doom of the dark sky in the background.

Gosh look at the beautiful white Sand........lovely series of images, gives off that "You Should Be Here Enjoying This" kinda feeling ......nicely done.

I want to cry looking at those pictures. It's been my dream for years just to step on a tropical beach. :(

I love #3 and the last one. The only qualm I have with the last one is that the second palm tree is cropped off. But that's of no consequence, it is still my favorite of these. I LOVE the tropics.

Thanks, yes I took these shots on a normal day also but the sky looked washed out. The difference in the sky, background and foreground before the storm gave the picture some natural contrast






These are prett cool. I really like the gazebo shot with the bright foreground and the impending doom of the dark sky in the background.

Yes, this is a great place and just prior to the Hurricane hitting the beaches were deserted and beach chair free. Not often you get the chance to get shots like these without the people and the clutter.:thumb


Wonder what it looked like after the storms:dunno

I agree the last three are the best, all of these taken with the 50mm 1.4 .
