Day Rate and Half Day How many hours?

Hi all,

What is normally expected in a day rate or half day? ie. How many hours, is lunch hour worked in, what about setup/tear down ?

What other expectations are there?

How does halfday work??.

it's whatever you make it and your client agrees to. this isn't a Detroit assembly line job.

I've seen contracts all over the place but bottom line... "get the shot" the client wants.

I charge 100 an hour for shooting. I will spend that much more time in lightroom, but I don't charge for that time.

I'm not really looking for rates to charge... I just want to know if I quote a day rate at $XXXX, how many hours are typically expected.
