"Recent Photos" on Home Page not Updating

A big thank tou to Smugmug for continuing to enhance the feature set offered to basic subscribers.

I added the Recent Photos section to my home page yesterday evening. After uploading a few additional phtos I noticed that the section did not update to show the new photos. Don't know whether this is a bug or if the refresh happens on a set schedule (every 24 hours?).

The newly-uploaded photos do appear in the timeline view and in my upload history.

Phil,

There may be a little delay but I just checked and I am seeing recent photos on your account. Just make sure that they are public galleries as that will prevent them from appearing if the privacy settings are turned on.

Am I mistaken in assuming that the photos displayed this section are the most recent shots I have uploaded (or the most recent EXIF dates), in descending order? If that is the case, then these two photos should appear:

Could using a 3rd party uploader be an issue? I'm using the uploader built into Digikam. The photos show up fine when I check my Smugmug upload history.

If I don't understand how the Recent Photos functionality works, please explain.

I've noticed the same on my site. Uploaded several photos at 9pm last night and they are still not showing up.

It does appear that there is a delay. Checked this morning and your 2 photos now are listed. :thumb

I tested before and if you remove and add the panel from the home page it updates. I'd think you guys would be able to have this update live and not need to delay it... but who am I to say.
