View Full Version : Thumbnails not changing from Original to Square
I've been trying to change these two gallery thumbnails from "original" to "square" in the customizer for days now and nothing is changing...

I searched the forum, but couldn't find an answer.
What did I break? :scratch

Did you go to Tools/Many Photos/Adjust Thumbnails, select all thumbnails, select square then hit Save?

Crap... I knew it was going to be something simple. I just kept trying to do it from the gallery customizer... :doh
But I did what you suggested and it worked!
Thanks!

Thanks! The gallery customize screen only affects newly uploaded thumbnails. It seems they should just ask you if you want to update your existing thumbs when you change the setting in customize gallery, then people wouldn't have this issue.

Agreed, I was baffled.

I apologize in advance for bumping this (relatively) old thread, but I think that the current behavior is either broken or simply confusing to users. The option to modify the thumbnail appearance says "Changes will take a few minutes to appear...", but in my experience, the changes *never* appear without my taking the explicit action of adjusting the thumbnails through Tools->Many Photos->More->Adjust Thumbnails. I then have to manually do that for every one of my existing galleries.
Newly uploaded photos do appear to respect the gallery setting, but there ought to either be a comment near the setting that it doesn't affect existing pictures, or the behavior should be changed so that it does.
