Seeing this picture I took today reminds me of that movie Stand By Me.

What do you all think of this?

I actually dont understand the movie reference. But i guess its understandble since i have not seen the movie!

I do like the shot however i feel like it is missing something. Its a little bit plain in my view. Could benifit from a person or a train or something of that sort.

I think prezwoodz hits the nail on the head: for those of us who have seen the movie, the reason why you've posted this is obvious. Seeing this image reminds me of childhood, spending time in the outdoors with my friends, following the tracks that take turns, going into an area that I cannot oversee. Of course, I'm influenced by Stand by Me, where those themes play a part. If I wouldn't be familiar with this movie, the image might say less to me as well. So you might question if the image in itself speaks a powerful language.

Sorry, I thought everyone had seen the movie or read the book.

I wish I could have waited for a train, but it was really hot and humid out.

I was old when I saw it. Born in 1939............anyone remember way back then?
Actually, I was 46, had just graduated from college, was a late bloomer.
Also, I already lived in Charleston.
Longest I have ever lived in one place/area.

ginger:uhoh

This reminds me of that stuff that goes around the internet where they say that people born after, or most of the people were born after and they don't remember.......................

Gosh, you all are missing out! And you want to photograph it. My childhood memories are your antiques.:rofl
