Today my club visited the carousel museum in Sandusky Ohio.

They have displays of animals from merry-go-rounds from around the world. So made as far back as the 1800s.

There were tradition horses, but there were also other animal. Zebras, giraffes and even a camel.

Some of the animals were silly...

Some were a little scary...

And some needed a little work...

And some were just beautiful.

They even had a functioning merry-go-round in the building that you could ride on.

It went faster than I thought it would.

Thanks for taking the visit with me.

Those old Carousels are just gorgeous aren't they, true craftsmanship, that for many years went un-noticed.
The folks who restore these do an amazing job, and they too are extremely talents.
This is a lovely series of shots you've posted, I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
