I've been working on a series of photographs which depict the struggle of humanity (or atleast civilization) against the natural world to which they belong. The reason behind it is the remind people that nature is something that simply cannot be conquered - becuase we are part of it. No matter how it seems we are separate from it, all that we create simply succombs to its beauty and becomes one with it. I have recently been offered a chance to display this series at my college's art gallery for public viewing. I do have at least a half-dozen more photos I need to add to series, but I was hoping I could get some responses from you all regarding the photos I currently have.

Audi,

Excellent series!

Human Nature V isn't showing for some reason.

Human Nature IV - I get a feeling I am being cheated here. To me it seems the stove is on the back of a pickup truck, on a road, and not really thrown away in the natural surroundings. That's because of the crop on the bottom - you're not showing where the stove really is. Am I right?

The others are fantastic!

Evocative. The deer hanging in the fence line, the bullet riddled stove.
Each of them fools the viewer into the beauty of the scene and then;
bam! You see man's impact.

I'd love to see the completed series.

The others are fantastic!well, I asked some neighbors in the area about it and the stove was actually remaining on a trailer that had exploded during hurricane Charley last summer (this is a small, run down, secluded, "mobile home" area on about 3,000 acres of pristine florida wilderness) . Their was a crack somewhere in the trailer and the wind built up so much pressure that it blew the walls of the trailer to bits from the inside. All that remained was the stove. Apparently, the people just left it there and used it for target practice. I cropped the trailer bottom out of the shot becuase it was impossible to frame the shot as it is and also allow the viewer to see that it was a trailer. From the original shot, it looked like a plank of wood floating in the air with some wires and debris hanging off of it. :D

Still not sure why V isnt showing up...ill look into it.

Thanks so much for your comments !
