I had a lot of trouble getting the comment button in my guestbook to appear. After searching a lot I found a thread where it said that the gallery for the guestbook should not be set to custom. This works for the comment button but when I set it to smugmug my navbar disappears.
How can I fix it.
It also looks like other customisations that I did to the guestbook do not work anymore after setting it to custom.
Also the javescript code to change the text to guestbook comment does not work.
Anybody there who can help me???????
Thanks.

First make sure these two things are checked:
-Hide-Owner-

that caused the problem with the navbar I described.
Any other suggestions?

If you could set those two things for that gallery, we could then trouble shoot whatever other problems your having.

I have made the settings as you asked.

I'm seeing your nav-bar now :thumb
Add this to your CSS to show the comments:
.gallery_3652510
#journal .top_border
{display:block}

Thanks sofar this solves a big part of the issues but....
Still my "gallery comments" text is not changed to guestbook comments.
And when I open the guestbook page I get a text box prompting me to enter a gallery description on the guestbook page.

I'm not seeing any other problems, I dont know why your script is not running on that page to modify the text.

Joe,
It looks OK in visitor view but when in owner view I get the prompt for the album description.
I also don't understand the problem with the Javascript. It has worked in the past.
Thanks anyway.
