Sadly I could not take my time roaming the park on Canada Day. Instead I went on a road trip. The only exposure I got of the fun filled day was a quick pass by the local rink where the parade was setting up. I was given less then ten minutes to jet around the parking lot snapping pictures. Not the best pictures in the world, but I wanted to show some Canadian spirit. I'm hoping to see more pictures of everyone else weekend holiday too.

I found the man on the left very engaging...nice smile

I saw one soldier leaning against his truck and I asked if I could take his picture. He goes "Do you want one of all of us?" "Sure" And before my eyes these eight gentlemen start climbing out of two different cars... a little overwhelming. I would have set the shot up better but again very little time.

I found this little boy very cute... wanting to be like his Dad I guess when he grew up...

And then my time was up but I still was able to contort my body around and take this last shot out the window as we were driving away.

Love #3 and #4. Something about #4 and the whole "not smiling clown" deal is good. #3 really brings out their inner spirit. #2 could have maybe been cropped differently? (or just photoshop the flags to his front rather than his back?)

Amazing the unnoticed gems of photos you notice when you look back through the pages...
