i just landed in london as the blasts were going off... made the last gatwick express train into the city - the city is a mess - no transport at all, no trains, bus, taxis. everyone is in the streets. work's stopped. i walked from paddington down to the river thames.
i'm a magnet... had one foot inside 1 world trade center at 745am on 9/11, when i ran into a friend that i hadn't seen in 15 years... we went for a coffee.. now you all know why i'm such a fan of starbucks :uhoh
yes, thoughts and prayers out to those intimately affected by these attacks...

Why? I continue to ask myself ....why would anyone do this :dunno
How can you reason with people who simply do not care who they kill ?
This link will hopefully open to a website with a beautiful song by Gospel Singer Natalie Grant...... it is called "HELD"
The words are just beautiful......
First time I heard it I was reduced to tears..........
Press the Arrow on Audio 1 or Audio 2 to hear the Song.

And while not "attack" related, didn't you have a relatively close call with a small plane earlier this year?
Glad you're safe and my thoughts, concerns, and prayers are with those who have been harmed in any way by this event.

Andy, take photos!
If possible w/o hindering rescue, etc.
Or take photos of just people glued to the TV.
Sad, the world, it has come to this. One world, fighting itself.

I just got off a bus myself - been driving a shift for the past 4 hours, and come back to the lab to find this news. Absolutely unf**ingbelievable! What do the cowards that commit acts like this think they are acheiving!
My thoughts are with those in London - from the reports, kids adults, all sorts were murdered in this attack, if you can call it that.

Why? I continue to ask myself ....why would anyone do this :dunno
Their justification is they have been telling the Allies to leave the Middle East (i.e. warning us) for quite some time now. They claim we are murdering their people, while conveniently ignoring the human rights abuses that they themselves caues when they are in power. Its a game of "you can't call my wife fat, only I can call my wife fat".
How can you reason with people who simply do not care who they kill ?
You can't reason with them. Which is why diplomatic solutions to problems with people like this do not work. Rational solutions do not work with irrational people. I'm hoping London doesn't turn a "Madrid" and cave in.

I live in a country where terrorist attacks are very common and we are on constant alert, even though we try to lead normal lives. Seeing the events in London only saddens me over and over again, for terror begets terror and hate begets ate. Everyone loses.
I wish all Londeners peace and tranquility as I do the world.
Michal
This is a perplexing problem...i dont even start to think of answers. Just glad to hear that our fellow D/grinners are safe & well. A few 0zzies were involved in the blasts also...whom ever their god is i hope he keeps them well.

Today, I'm proud to be a human. The way Londoners have reacted by going on with their lives, work ect. shows the best in what we do in the face of adversity and outright insanity. London, you have made us all very proud and we salute you all for standing up and saying :fu to the cowards who did this.
