Yes indeed, two very cute kids.

I like the way his face is in sharp focus and the framing on each side with the blurred sleeves.

However, I find the girl in the back ground distracting. I guess it is more a taste thing more a technical analysis I would prefer that she either not be there or the both be in focus.

Only other thing is the glasses on the pocket seem distracting also.

I disagree; the girl is clear enough that you can see her expresion, which is necessary to make her meaningful, but the picture seems to really be about him. She's there for context, to show that he's not alone, to make it a "being together" picture, but the focus (in more than one sense) is still on him. I think it's fine the way it is.

Is this one of BD's "don't title things" moments? If you didn't call it 'two very cute kids' there would be no assumption that the girl was a 'focus' of the picture. If you just called it 'wondering' or 'kid pic 4532' then there is no assumption that she is as primary as he is.

Just a thought....

You hit the nail on the head! Sometimes it is hard for me to put exactly why or how I took the picture into words..... But when photographer friends with better writing skills come along, there is no problem:D Maybe I should not call it writing....but I can't think of the right word right now.....:scratch

I agree with everything that Craig said. I like this shot very much as it is--including the glasses!

Well done, IMO.
