Spent 3 nights (and 5 days) in and around Japser, Banff and all along the Icefield parkway. Edited all the non pano's. Anxious to get something up! I have a ton of work left since I have so many pano's!

D700, S5 Pro, and D70 IR

Ok, here I go!

Wow just amazing! This is the perfect time of year to be there and thank you so much for sharing the beautiful skies, sweet light, and great foliage :thumb

Spectacular shots! I'm personally drawn to the color rather than the B/W and IR shots. Looks like a very productive trip. Well done!

These bring back some great memories of when I was there in Oct 2k3. My shots from then are snapshots (I only had 1 day on a driving tour & a p&s) and I have had it on my list to return to now I actually have some clue what I'm doing with a camera.

These will inspire me to get back there sooner rather than later.

Beautiful!! Each and everyone of them are perfect. Mother in law has been there several times and just her p & S shots make me want to go. Looking at these has wetted my appettite even more.

Beautiful pics. I was up there in August on my motorcycle with a P&S. Love how the leaves are changing colors.

You have a good eye, and the post-processing on those photos is very good.

Bravo. :clap

I was there this time of year in '07 and '08… I'd go every year if I could swing it :-)

Is that Herbert Lake in #7?

I was there about 6 months ago when there was much more snow and ice. Excellent shots. Beautiful country. Did you go out on the glacier?

That ones Peyto Lake actually, hard to recognize without the ridiculous turquoise color!

Thanks :), I love looking at your landscape work BTW, really solid tones, and your composition is really unique to my style, but I still love it!

And thanks to everyone who commented as well. I was really happy with this trip, (its hard not to be with the ridiculously good scenery!)

Thanks :) I was hoping getting up at 5AM would at least give me a smooth lake when I went to Moraine lake, but it was the windiest it had been all trip when I got there!

I'm going to edit the panoramic shots now, i'll post them if I get any good shots!

ugh I hate you! I lived in Calgary when I was in elementary school. I absolutely loved it there and have fond memories of the mountains. It was the first time I picked up a camera. A disposable camera. Now I live in the flatness of Dallas TX. Oh how I miss these mountains!

Big fan of the first shot. Simply breathtaking. I prefer the coloured photos to the b/w. Colour that rich shouldn't be hidden.

Absolutely gorgeous shots :bow

These really stood out for me:

#1, 4, 8, 12, 15 & the last two you posted later.

Don't think I've ever taken shots that clear/crisp.

I love #2 - the way the light catches the tree tops on the right, and #5 - I have seen that scene but never photographed it.

Sadly, I live within a fairly easy drive of Jasper, and hardly ever go. I need a visitor to tour around! :wink

#7 and #12 are fantastic!...I love the strong contrast in #7 and the cloud/water movement in #12. And the whole series is great as well!
