I've been playing with the Horseshoe Bend shots I took recently and this black and white I found pleasing to my eye. What do you think?

Everything below the horizon is awesome. The blown highlights just turn me off. If you cut the sky out entirely, I think I'd really like it!

I like the new sky, Dan! Did you blend two different exposures to get that one? I agree, the first had maybe too little detail in it. :ear

Thanks Schmoo. Yes, that is essentially what I did, only I did it with Photomatix.

I love B&W, this one is pretty good, but around the shoe seems to dark to me. I would like to see you lighten that area just a bit - otherwise I would hang it :)
Edit - just saw the second one - well done!

I really like the first one but the cloud fringing is a definite distraction... not much of a fan of the second.

Hey Dan,
My eyes like the second version best. The blown sky in the first one just kept pulling my eyes there, and away from that beautiful scene below.

Thanks Randy. Appreciate the feedback. It seems everyone is divided on these. So what's new:rofl
