View Full Version : Can I turn off the anti spam code in a gallery or site wide?

My title's the full question.

I have a gallery on my site I'm using as a photoblog, and would like to make commenting as quick and easy as possible for the non SmugMug users who are now starting to visit me.

I would probably put comment moderation in place, and would return to using the anti spam code if I actually did get a lot of spam messages.

So, can it be done through CSS? Any help on this greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It cannot be turned off. It can be hidden with CSS, but when it's not filled in the comment will fail and will not be accepted by the server. I believe Smugmug recently made a change so that other logged in Smugmug users don't have to do the captcha, but everyone else does.

Thanks for that answer, John.

That means that I have no choice in the matter, and must leave things as they are.

It's true that having to fill in an anti spam code is quite a common occurance when visiting galleries and photoblogs, but I don't understand why Smugmug doesn't leave it up to the individual user to decide what works best for them in this area.
