I have a set of 2 monolight studio strobes and also a sb600. I would like to use the sb600 as a hairlight with a snoot attached. I don't have a commander for the strobe and want to use a pc cord to attach the sb600. I would prefer to attach it from one of the monolights so I can remain wireless for firing my strobes. I'm wondering if this could cause problems with the sb600 by connecting it to an ac powered monolight.

Don't have an answer to your question but another way of doing it. I picked up the Cactus V4 wireless triggers off Ebay a couple weeks ago and so far they have been great. For $63.00 I got the transmitter and 4 receivers. The receivers even have umbrella holders.

So it is a little bit of a cost and a week or two for shipping but you would be completely wireless at that point. :deal

I've been thinking of picking up a set. Not sure yet though. I've heard mixed reviews so I'm still on the fence.

Make sure your sync voltage for the mono lights is under six volts. If it is you're good to go. You can get mono audio cables, splitters, and adapters to make it work the way you want.

I gotta ask....What mono lights have daisy chaining ability to chain one to another???

All I have ever seen is a single input conncetor n0 out put to connect to another flash of any type........or am I mis reading the OP?????

I would sugest the Catus or other ebay"special" wireless trigger over any type of wired connection.....ESPECIALLY with any DIGITAL flash unit..................

I agree with Art, get a wireless set.

You talking about from the 1/4 inch sync terminal? Why not contact B&H and ask them...Otherwise triggers~

if you're in a studio environment, your sb should be able to trigger them as optical slaves... No need for anything extra...

The SB600 as a hairlight with snoot is unlikely to trigger the other flashes. I had the same situation.

Get radios for everything.
