Is anyone else having problems uploading photos? I understand there was an outage early today, but the Blog indicates this is resolved but I'm still unable.

Attempts to add photos to existing or new galleries result in a redirect to:
http://upload.smugmug.com/photos/new_add.mg?AlbumID=9678784

which appears as a black page with header and foot only... no body content.

My site is www.oaktreephotography.net

No change.

FWIW, this worked yesterday.. I've tried today from two computers (the one used yesterday) and another. I've tried IE and FF on both... same result...

Cleared all settings, cleared cookies... No Joy...

Cleared all settings, cleared cookies... No Joy...updating your current installation of java will typically resolve this issue.

Follow these steps to make sure your java is up to date for a PC:

1) Go to http://www.java.com

2) Click on "Do I have Java?" and wait for the test to run.

3) Follow the steps to get the latest version of Java if you need it.

Can you try this pls?

I receive the message:

Congratulations
You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 16).

Can you tell us which internet security apps that you have running? firewall, antivirus, net nannies, privacy filters etc.

Any of those could possibly cause problems.

AVG Antivirus
Can you try to temporarily disable it and see if that helps?

You may need to add *.smugmug.com to the list of trusted sites on your virus software to prevent it from blocking SmugMug content.

Did you by any chance hit any other button than "trust" when you last tried to upload before the uploader didn't work for you anymore?

I've now tried from two additional computers; neither of which uses AVG. One being the same PC I've used for more than a year with SM (never had this issue).

I think this is clearly confirmed as a site issue. Please let me know how to work to resolve and what information you need. Or is it possible that some changes on SM conflict with my customized site and prevent uploading?

I have many images that I need to upload this evening for a potential client and need a quick resolution.

Thanks

Larry

I received the below suggestion from Barb at SM support. It absolutely fixed my issue. WAY TO GO Barb!!!

Can you go here, and go ahead and download and update your java installation?

http://www.java.com (http://www.java.com/)

Even though it says you have the recommended version, java installations can get corrupted. Try just updating the one you have (even if it's the same version). First, clear your browser cache and cookies. Then download and install latest version.
