Filenames too long

Hi,

Most of my filenames are very long and run off the right side of my SM webpages.

How can I make them wrap to the next line so that they aren't too long?

I have no idea what you are referring to when you say "file names".

So that I don't have to add Captions for each photo, I turned on filenames so that the filename of my photo would display as the caption. A lot of my photos filenames are very long (eg. jacquelinemaeparkshighschoolgraduationlaurelmontan aMay1953.jpg)

These long file names (captions) do not wrap so they cause my site to display a horizontal scrollbar forcing the site visitors to scroll to the right all the time.

I'd like to shorten the filenames by wrapping them to the next line.

I don't know of a way to wrap in the middle of a word - and that's essentially what you have there. It would be much more pleasant to view if you'd use text as the caption, not the file name.

Maybe someone else will jump in with a method for breaking in the middle of a word.

You're already using a small font. Make it smaller and it will be extremely difficult to read - in that case you would be better off without a caption.

It's your choice though, not mine.

This CSS will make the font size smaller:

That will work Denise.

I had to change the Style to thumbnails

Yes changing it to 75% is real small but with filenames set to Yes the filename will display when the visitor hovers over the thumbnail or the photo.
