So I load myself up with all my lenses tripod and monopod, the works! Get to the mirror ball on Blackpool Prom only to find no battery in my 40D!!! :bash

Luckily I had taken along my Canon Powershot SX110 IS to let one of my daughters film with. I ended up hogging it to take shots.
No tripod setup because of the mess up so I just rested the camera on the bars :cry

I might go back next week or on the 2nd October to get some more but it'll be too late for the challenge. Oh well, here are a few the shots I felt had the most pleasing composition.

These are SERIOUSLY SOOC! Uploaded straight to my smugmug from my memory stick.
I think that little P&S did good job :clap

PS
If I am allowed to rotate, I have a great shot of my kids playing around the mirror ball.

1. I love the silhouettes of the people walking along the prom here.

I'd go with 2.

#1 is wonderful, but I don't see people moving, and the firework feels too static.
#2 :clap
#3 is similarly static (IMO) to #1 and less cool than #1.
#4 seems that the movement is more camera movement than the scene's movement. Cool effect, but I like #2 better.
#5 is similar to #4, but of these two I like #4 better since the movement is more linear and fits the subject better.

Thanks Andrew.
I have another idea but I'm not sure my kids will co-operate lol

I really like 3, there's movement and nice detail.
