Congrats, that's a great lens. I've shot birds with guys who have that lens and they got really great shots. Takes a TC1.4x very well and you don't lose autofocus. I think you'll be quite happy with it.

I love the 300 f/4 (Nikon)
Try some headshots with it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Well this is what I have so far... I've been way too busy to do any casual shoots.
It was excellent condition for $800 except the scuff on the tripod collar. If that collar wasn't so expensive I'd consider replacing it.
