Ian, those are wonderful shots. I have some egret chick shots from yesterday. Haven't worked them up yet. I have some not shown from the two times before, too.

Yours are in palms? Mine are surrounded by Spanish Moss, smile. We do still have chicks here, but the numbers are down. There were a few nests with chicks about the age of your birds. At the same time, many are flying, others, the ones I have watched the longest: their nests are empty. Except one egret chick in another nest. Almost full sized but no signs of flying.

I love seeing your birds, Ian. I am partial to your first one.

I am going back next week, my Snowy Egret shots were blurred, just too late to be shooting them. I left about 9 PM. Scary. and futile.

Nice captures...they are so adorable aren't they. I keep looking over my rookery shots, and keep finding little gems that went unnoticed before.
