All week I have been looking around the area for some reported Sandhill Cranes. Today, I hit the jackpot.

#1: In flight. Sadly, I slightly missed focus (I prefer focus on the eye, as do many of you) but the composition was good enough and overall it was sharp enough that I wanted to share it anyways.

#2: Sounding off. I like 1:1 format!

#3: Watching me watch.

And here are a couple of GBH shots I took on the way home.

#1: Landing

#2: Standing around (personally, I think this is my best GBH shot yet in terms of exposure, focus accuracy, and sharpness.)

I hope you enjoy them:)

Don't ya just love them Sandies?!

They can't move without cackeling and they have so many neat manerisms.

GBH's on the other hand are far too skittish and haved pissed me off more than I can count.

Thanks for sharing...always nice to score, ain't it?!

Yes it is.

It is wonderful to head out and get what you left for.

Thanks for the comment:)

I am not sure when they will leave us - the weather is still very warm and it has been dry for weeks. One day, I am sure they will wake up and say HOLY *bleep* and take off at high speed... Then you can have them:) Until then, we are enjoying them:rofl
