Sorry, I had to do that to get you guys in here:D.

To cut to the chase, I have eight pictures that I want to make into a set. All of these pictures where taken in Zhengzhou, but you will be surprised to see that only one of them is a portrait type photo, the rest of them are macro:wink Now what I would like to happen is that all you guys help me create this set. First, I need professional opinions on which ones should be kept and which ones should be scrapped. Then we go on to the second stage of making the pictures better. When that process is done, either I will move them into the Refinery to get ripped to shreds again:D, or I will ask a moderator to do it for me. Yes, I do realize that you can only post one picture per thread in there, so what, I got time:ivar

So, if you guys want to help me out on this and do it, I will post the pictures in a new thread, with the Moderators approval, if approval is needed. If not, let me know:thumb

Thanks!

Without seeing the shots, how could anyone answer your question?
Post a link to them so we can see what we're up against.
I don't know you, I don't know if you used a top of the line DSLR or a bottom of the line cell phone to take the shots.

Throw us a bone here.

I would keep #'s 2,4,7,8.

The first shot should have been in portrait orientation.
#3, the insect is out of focus, but it's the main item in the shot.
#'s 4 and 5 are interchangeable, so I'd go for the closer shot. The problem with both of these
is the insect is dead center. A little cropping may help it.
#6 has to much out of focus again.

When doing macros, get the f stop higher. f8 at least, f11 a lot of time will be even better.

I give it a quick try at joining the remaining 4 of these together.

<<< edit >>>

Well, this is a pretty generic attempt, but here you are.
I did use #6 for the background.

I new that portrait would be a winner!

Ok, I will wait one more day, and if I don't get anything else, those are going to be the ones we work with!:D

Thanks again:thumb

Here we go. Take your time, there are only four pictures to work with:D

I have an idea for the following picture. What do you guys think about changing the color to a velvety dark red, with the yellow turning to a dark gold?
