View Full Version : favorites - can this be easier for our clients?

Does someone have to be logged in for smugmug to save their "favorite" designations? I just had a client email me the following: "...I think maybe when you click on the favorites button a little message pops up saying "you must be logged in to save favorites."
Sounds like a good suggestion to me... am I missing something - is there a way to instruct viewers to log in before they start saving favorites? Is it possible for viewers without a smugmug account log in and save favorites?
Thanks!

I submitted this request on the feedback location. However, in the meantime I need to understand how (and if) the favorites feature works. When a client marks an image as "favorite" what happens? Is it like a vote, simply making the image more popular?
Is there a way to help my clients mark and organize their favorite images?
Thank you!

And, does a client have to have their own smugmug account in order to utilize any of the favorites/tagging/etc tools? If this is the case, I am afraid smugmug may not work at all for my proofing needs. I really want our clients to be able to use some organizational tools in their proofing site.

The thumbs up/down really can't be used for what you're trying to do. No such feature exists right now.
Vote for it:
