A normally dry creek became a torrent of water.

We ended up crossing this creek two times with the water up to my headlights :huh but no pictures. Was concentrating on trying to make it through. :deal

My stock XJ made it through with only one slip on the worst climb :davidto but I did have to pick much different lines than the highly modified trucks I was with.

I figured there would be rain up that way. We got poured on on our way to the trails in Table Mesa but no rain while out there and a bit of rain up towards Lake Pleasant. Raging creek crossing are fun huh? haha

Nice pictures. Really like the frontal shop of the bluish Jeep:thumb And I am loving the oldschool Ford!

Nice set. Glad your sharing them. I can now understand the need for a
breather as seen in photo #1. Nervy crossing the creek like that. Twice
ta boot.
Was in a Jeep , on a Washington beach, a ton of years ago.
The driver took us into a pretty fair sized creek and paused in the middle.
Long enough to let her sink in deep as the rushing water pushed the sand out from under the tires. I figured we were in trouble about then, but he just worked us, with some effort, right out. Was glad for that. :D

Yeah it was a fun trip and the XJ performed pretty good. The water crossings were a bit deep but we made it just fine.

A snorkel is on my list but is used more to reduce dust and dirt than water here in the Southwest.

Thanks for the comments.

Snorkels are cool:thumb We put one on the SAS..like that thing will ever see water that deep..lol. But there are times where you will be surprised that you need them, even out here in the desert :) I put up a few threads on here from our trip or you can just check em out on FB :)
