Changing Image on Catagory Thumb

Hi,

I have a number of Customer Galleries that are password protected.

I know how to change the 'Protected Gallery' thumb image on a protected Gallery but I want to just be able to change the thumb when viewing the 'Customer Galleries' in Category view here:

http://www.paul-griffiths.net/galleries

The last Thumb is the 'Customers' private Galleries and it shows as 'Empty Gallery' at present - this is what I want to change

I can replace the 'Empty Gallery' image if I use the usual method of adding an image to 'Customer Gallery 1' and then featuring it and then moving to another gallery but this means that this still shows in 'Customer Gallery 1' which I dont want.

Is there a way to just change the thumb image in Category View?

Is there a way to just change the thumb image in Category View? There is not. The category thumbnail image comes from the first gallery in the category. There is not a separate category thumbnail image.

Just a thought John,

Not to question your expert knowledge but I noticed that the image on the catagory view says Empty Gallery where as the gallery itself shows as Protected Gallery - 2 different images - does this not mean that there is a seperate thumb for the catagory view somewhere?

It doesnt mean we can change it but it does show as 2 different images.

Just a thought.... It just means that the Smugmug server detects that there are no thumbnail images anywhere in the category so it returns this placeholder image instead. Smugmug doesn't provide any control over that image either.

I have only added the java to the Bottom script - I assume that is what you wanted.

For now I have used the workaround with the Featured option and move the image somewhere else.

If you come up with something more permanent, please let me know - if not no worries.

This is exactly what I am trying to figure out. I have a page of password protected customer galleries. How do I add a thumbnail image to these?
