first... anybody shoot a d700 at 3200? i'm thinking of upgrading and wondered how the noise is compared to the d300.

I have a D700 and shoot at 3200 or 4000 sometimes. The 700 at 3200 is way better than the D300 (which I also have). I always had to run my D300 pictures through noiseware when using ISO 3200. and never do with the D700.
The D700 is full frame though so you don't see as far with the same lens. But that doesn't seem to be as big a deal for football.

Thanks Anna......I appreciate the info.....my wife will be mad as hell at you though ....she hates it when I upgrade...$$$:dunno
