I've been waiting over three years to take this picture! This is near my daughter's college, and everytime we go there it is either grey, raining, or we don't have time to stop to take the picture. I am not sure why I wanted this shot so badly, but I finally got it!

Wow someone recognized the location, I am impressed. My daughter goes to Susquehanna University.

Wow, that's what I call patience! :thumb :bow
Nice shot!
I'd only recommmend the remove the wire in the upper/right quadrant, or cut off the top part (and the wire) altogether, since imho that part of the frame doesn't add much to the image (but, yes, I've been wrong before:-)

I know that feeling -- the wait to take a certain photo. I'm happy to hear your wait is over :thumb

I like the lines in the photo. Smoke stacks and windows :D

I think it was worth the wait. Nice shot - except for the wire.

here's my 2 cents, crop out most of the smaller building in the lower left and the wire. That would put more emphesis on the main building.

It kinda reminds me of that cell phone/sevice provider commercial, when they show 4 ascending items like palm trees. Is it AT&T or sprint???

Anyways, good photo and interesting building.

I don't blame you for wanting to shoot this building! It has really interesting shapes, almost like giant nuts and bolts. :D

You have some great cloud patterns int he sky. Any chance of getting this in b/w to bring that out? Or even yet, maybe with an IR look?

A beautiful shot with very nice contrast between the russet bricks and the blue sky. The cloud patterns are also extremely nice! Thanks for your patientce! :D :thumb

Here is a closer in zoom shot (not a crop)

Ooohhhh...I like the zoomed in shot better. Simpler with less distracting elements, while still retaining that beautiful russed/blue contrast and clouds. Sweet! :thumb

VEry interesting subject. Little structures around chimney stacks that do look, at first impression, like nuts on bolts! :thumb:clap

Well worth the wait. I like the second cropped in camera image.

Flip it and it would be a perfect fit for an AT&T commercial. :rofl
More Bars In More Places. lol

Nice shot and wow... that's what I call patience! :clap

the only thing I would add is to check the histogram and make a levels adjustment with the right slider. good job!

Is this the power plant in Shamokin Dam, across the Susquehanna River from Sunbury, PA? I pass this every time I go to one of my favorite drag strips.
