We went to see these guys Saturday night in Spokane's Riverfront park. They are a local band and friends. It was a good time.

No comments? Are they bad, good, so so etc. Suggestions for improvement?

My top (in order) are 8, 6, and 4. Don't like the heavy mike shadow on his face in 6, but you can see his effort. Looks like you were using a flash. Somewhere recently, someone posted, or I read a little blurb on concert photography the suggested that the best results are w/o a stobe. At the other end of the spectrum, my least favorite is #1 -- he has no energy at all.

Bear in mind, I've never done any photos like this at all, so this is just my impression browsing your images.

Thanks for the comments. If memory is serving correctly, I used flash for the first two photos and not any of the others. I really don't care to use flash if I can get away from it. The bass player is pretty laid back and I was lucky to get a smile out of him.

Were there colored lights there or anything? Those tend to add interest. Otherwise, I think you did well for the situation.

Now that you mention it, I do not think that there were any colored lights. This was a community outreach program vs an all out concert.
