View Full Version : Have the feed formats changed?

I used to subscribe to my smugmug "Recent Galleries" feed using Facebook Notes, so that every gallery I created automatically appeared as a note on my account.

However, since the NiceNames update, my RSS feed is not being imported to Facebook. (If I attempt to resubscribe, I get the error message "The feed URL you provided doesn't contain any data." However, if I view the data directly in a browser, there is some information there - though I've no idea if it's in the correct format)

Has anything in the update changed the format of the feed?

can you list the feed in question? Put a link right here, thanks! Devbobo will reply, but he's on a bit of R&R this week, signing in off & on.

http://pbolchover.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=nickname&Data=pbolchover&format=rss200
and
http://pbolchover.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=nickname&Data=pbolchover&format=atom10

The workflow to import into Facebook is as follows:
1) In the Applications menu at the bottom left, choose "Notes"
2) Towards the top-right, there is a link that says "Import a blog"
3) Paste the feed URL in the box

Hi I've checked and nothing's changed with the format of that feed. It picks up your BIO and you have your navbar html in the BIO. You don't need to have your navbar in your BIO on the Homepage. I'd suggest removing it and trying the feed again.

We tried with a couple sites that had a slideshow in the BIO and they all worked. Sites with other html did not work.
