Are they over exposed?

If they are, please tell me, if they are not please tell me.

I sit there with the histogram, I watch it religiously, it is in the processing, they are not inherently blown.

These are among the last shots to be worked up, because they are just about the easiest. It is pretty much a straight shot from raw to levels to saturation, maybe to curves for a bit of wow, watching the histogram, then some USM, they are pretty straight, but I could be pushing the envelope a bit, there is such a fine line in the processing between blown and pop, IMO.

I would love feedback on this.

Oh, thanks, Harry, I was just begging for comments. Thanks so much. I am glad you like that last shot. I was determined to work with artistic cropping, that is the only one I have found so far to do it with.

I love birds' wings and feathers.

This week's Newsweek, dinosaur on the front. It reminds me, or reinforces in me, how much these birds are on the border from beauty to just a feathered reptile.

To me those feathers are gorgeous, love them.

Beautiful, and when they are getting beautiful, well, they will be leaving home.

Yes, those birds, those are the ones I have a shot of an egg in that nest. They are the easiest to photograph, the closest. I know their personalities, as different as human children. One is quite adventurous, the other loves to preen. I don't know their genders.

Thanks Ben, thanks, Jeff. Jeff, you are so funny on titles! I am actually saving money by, or I should say spending it on other things, by not getting my hair cut for awhile.

That top hair on those birds, it just tells me that they are the babies. Amazing, once they lose that, they will be no different than the adults, the egrets anyway, as far as I can tell.

Ben, thank you. I have been struck for quite awhile about how nice it looks, like a ballet, with some of the birds movements. I have been particularly interested in things like that # 3. I have a couple shots of some other babies doing a similar stand, but on the ground.

It is nice to know that shot seems to be just about everyone's fave, that is nice for me to know. I would say it lets me know where to put it........well, if I were to ever put small shots out to sell, in a baggy, with a mat, your comments would put that shot ahead.
