I have admired Annie's work since her first days at Rolling Stone. I was in high school then and worked on the school paper shooting, developing, editing and printing images.

I have every one of her books including her biography released last year.

I think her shooting style is amazing and I've watched her development as well as her common threads through the years from band coverage to AMEX ads to GAP ads to her portraiture of Queen Elizabeth II

In some ways I think she has defined contemporary American photography. Her ability to capture people in very "real" ordinary light is incredible to me. Do you know she never, never asks anyone to smile?

Well, I'd love to take part in a lively discussion of her work. Won't you join me?
