Lake Superior Sunset

Snapped a quick shot of the sun setting over Grand Island. Lake Superior has been warm enough for swimming so I was in a rush to get in the water! :D

Really wish I had a stand up paddle board...

Beautiful sky! I love it when the lower clouds are turning pink and orange but the upper sky is still that lighter blue/purple.

I started a 'Great Lakes' smugmug community a couple months ago with some pics from Lake Ontario. Feel free to join in, especially since I am currently the only member :)

Really fantastic light and colors here! I also like that little hint of beach sand at the lower left corner. :thumb

I like the Great Lakes idea. Admittedly I do not tag enough of my photos but should.

The sunset pic has this piece of driftwood just out of sight on the left.

And a shameless Great Lakes shot. I was browsing though Nat Geo a while back and though my pic was in it. Turns out someone took this shot from a slightly different angle and won a competition.

One of the greatest kayak / stand up paddling stretches on earth.
