Beautiful silhouette! Love the round ripple in the water. :thumb I think this image is powerful enough without the vignetting at the lower corners.

I think this is a sweet shot, too. I wonder how it would look without the heavy vignetting and also the silhouette shadow looks a little too dark- like almost out of proportion to the light in the rest of the image. don't know if that makes sense. good job.

This is just superb. Such use of reflection really pushes the scene from just a snapshot to making your viewers actually think about the story within :thumb

Very nice shot Doug. I too would like to see the vignetting lightened a bit and even the fisherman lightened a bit to bring out a little more color and detail.
Very nice peaceful scene though. :thumb

Thank you all for your comments. I agree. I pulled back -- less is more -- from the extreme silhouette, lens vignetting and slightly adjusted the horizon line.
I've only come back to this shot after a full month after returning from the trip and making what seems a 10th run at my thousands of shots from the adventure. This is Snag Lake in the Lassen National Park.

Like that one much better.

I like the reworked version better as well. Awesome shot, again! :thumb

Great shot, and love the title :)
What about a vignette that is less strong than the first? I like the vignette shot better, personally, but a lighter vignette would be really nice. Of course, it's entirely up to you :D
