This might be my first ever post in the Landscapes section. I'm an infamous lurker in the people section, more often than not. Anyway, I got to spend 3 weeks up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior this past July. I came away with a handful of 'okay' landscape shots. They've worked well for transition pages in the scrapbook I've been working on for my Grandma (who's too old to make the trip all the way up there from FL anymore). Anyway, thought I'd share a few.

Lake Superior, at Whitefish Point...cold, windy, and gray that day.

Same Great Lake (pun intended...hah!), but closer to my family's cabin.

Tequamenon (think that's how you spell it) falls, near Whitefish Point. Unfortunately, didn't have a tripod...was trying to handhold through some slower exposures to get the water to blur.

Same Fall, different crop.

Anyway, cc always welcome.

Hi Justin and welcome to posting in the Landscapes forum! :D

That's so gret of you to do this for your grandmother. I think if these are only "okay" shots, then I'd love to see the other ones in the scrapbook that aren't transition pages! :D

Great job on the handheld long exposures for the waterfall! Whenever I see shots from the shores of the great lakes, I marvel that they're not oceans. Looks like a lovely location all year 'round. :thumb

Yah to da U.P. eh!

I have never been to the U.P. I really would like to. I want to go to The Soo and Mackinac Island.

My wife is from Detroit and has family in The Thumb, so we go up often. It is very beautiful up there and you did a great job capturing this "Great" (sorry) area!
