#4. Macro portraiture is no different than human portraiture. If the eyes aren't sharp, the photo isn't compelling. #1 would be good, but it's ruined by incorrect focus.

I was saying that #4 (14) is the only one that is correctly focused. Sorry for being unclear. They're all sharp, you just missed the focus on all but #4.

2# the prey and important part of the aimal is sharp
3# the eyes are sharp and the "green" animals are sharp
4# sharp
5# the eyes could be sharper
6# sharp

Do you take macro pictures ?

#2 and #3 are pretty close on the focus, I guess my complaint with those is more with the DOF. I occasionally do some macro work with flower, although I don't see how that's at all relevant to my critiques of yours shots.

Not seen a ladybird try to get rid of a dragonfly before !
Some good shots.
Esp like the last 4 shots .

Not sure what happened in #2 but the spider abdomen is rather over exposed and the background is very odd.
The flies in #3 are march flies (St Marks flies) not ants I think.
