I love the one of the bird coming out of the water! I've never watched one hunt before, much less dive in for something! Just think how specialized their eyes must be -- some kind of polarization? To be able to see through the water to see fish -- then the timing involved? Thank heavens all we have to do is walk to the refrigerator! :):

Thanks Eric. I've been trying for this shot for some time now. Thankfully there was no one around but the birds to see my celebration when I chimped and saw that I got that shot. :D

AJHey AJ,

Always good to hear from ya. Thanks for the kind words. I am thrilled with the shots I'm capturing with the 500mm lens. I took it out today to use w/o a TC and I'm very happy with it. http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/biggrinbounce2.gif

Hey Dee,

They are amazing. I have watched them hunt and they never go hungry, It may take 3-4 tries but they always end up with a fish.

Wow, Harry!

I just keep looking over these pictures...
...sort of hypnotized by the beauty.

Then I find myself smiling as I realize that
you have used this beautiful osprey to convey
the same old message:

"It's All about the Food!" :binge

hey Trish,

I've been trying for that shot for so long. The focusing speed and the reach of the 500mm made this one possible. I am a very happy camper.
