D300 & blinking Exp Comp icon???

HI

The Exposure Comp icon on the top lcd panel, on my D300, recently started blinking when the camera is 'active' - after pressing shutter 1/2 way.
Been reading manual and Thom Hogans manual and can't find answer.

Any ideas, resolutions?

The first thing to try is a reset; Hold the +/- and the Qual buttons for 2 seconds.

Next thing to try is a different lens.
