Not sure if there's a simpler method but I can't find any option once I have uploaded a video to change the preview screen.

Smugmug seems to randomly choose a frame from the uploaded footage, its usually not what I want to show off all the hard work put into a video clip.

Its frustrating that I have to to go upload a separate file that needs to be the exact same resolution in order to change the annoying random image that was chosen for me.

Is there a simpler method to do this? If not does anyone know how to export a single frame as a jpg on adobe premiere cs4???

Before we added the replace preview, I simply added the title screen for about 10 seconds before starting the video. That was then picked up as the preview. I cannot help with Premiere as I have not used it enough. Sorry

Contact me on the help desk with details about the video. Link to it would be really helpful. I can check the resolution that the system expects. Sometimes, what you think you uploaded is not what we actually get. But the replace tool should be telling you exactly what it expects.

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 7 and have successfully uploaded shots to replace the preview image. I've made the jpgs from within PE as well as the Sony manager (can't recall the name). I've edited the jpgs on non-PE editing software - infranview? - (I'm not home to look at names), and always been successful. Maybe the error isn't with Adobe? Maybe if you post the error messages details, and when they occur, a Smuggy expert will explain. (I can't help with that part.)
