I have been working on upgrading my contracts recently, and have my client contracts tightened up nicely. The one thing I realized was missing is a usage agreement to put on the discs I give clients who purchase them, explaining that they are for personal use only, etc. My contract does have a section on copyright which states that all images are only for personal use, and may not be sold or used commercially. However, it would be nice to be able to put an expanded version of this on the CD/DVD as a "Readme.txt" file. Anyone know if there is a contract like this floating around the net somewhere or would be willing to provide me with something they use?

I may be missing something, (I often do), but why not use the contract you already have?

My existing contract mentions copyright in two sentences. It basically says all work delivered to the Client is for personal use only and may not be resold. It would be nice to have a contract on the delivered media that elaborated a bit, maybe mentioning restrictions on derivative works/manipulation of delivered work and other things like the client's right to make prints from the CD, which some labs will ask for proof of. Would my primary contract hold up, legally? I think so. Nevertheless, I'd still like to have something a little more descriptive that helps the client and plugs any legal holes I might have.

Unfortunately I did not. I'd love to see yours if you decide to write something yourself.
