Hi all, I know that "what should I charge" posts can get tedious, but I am faced with an opportunity on a scale I haven't dealt with before. I was contacted by the marketing department of a national transportation company which would like to use a photo of mine for the front cover of the fall system timetable. Circulation of this is national, and reported to be around 1.5 million copies.
PhotographersIndex.com gives an average price for the national cover criteria of $1900, does that sound reasonable?
Additionally, they would also like to purchase rights to use it in any regional advertisements and news stories (magazine, newspaper, website) which relate to the new service this photo depicts.
Any suggestions as to pricing this type of licensing would be very helpful. Should it be a separate license?
Thank you in advance!
