I've gotten feedback on this in the Weddings forum that this "rocks-- everything about it... wow", and they "loooove" it. It's from an engagement shoot at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Windy day. Overcast. I went with a contrasty B/W on a whim. Please whip it - I want to know what I've missed, how it could be better, etc.

Thanks!

It is a very nice photo, but on the nit picky side, I am not fond of that pole going straight through his head.. I would burn that in. I would burn in all of the extra lines and the hazy whites in the lower areas between the larger poles to polish it up and make it look sharp... but leave the main "larger" poles in place so it maintains a natural look. Just clean up around them..:D.. Just be sure you set your burn tool to around a 70% exposure and the range set for shadows. This will not only clean it up, but the added dark tones in the background will serve to help the couple pop from the background as well..

Nice Capture :thumb

Nitpicky huh? Overall this is a great shot that I expect the client will absolutely love.
I do like the idea of getting the pole out of the shot.

If possible, can you adjust the lighting to the left of the couple on the steps and the foot of the guy. Kind of looks like a flash splash.
Maybe lighten up the dark shadow on his chest.

It is really hard to pick anything that is really distracting with this image. Great addition to the new whipping post!

I think the watermark you did is just for the internet, but it is distracting. Otherwise I like this, good pose, good eye contact with the camera, good light, good contrast in the processing. Only thing I would change is crop a little on the left side, as there is a little too much dead space there for me.

Nice natural expressions--which makes the photo. Overall, no big issues.

Although, I'm with Andy on the crop. I would be inclined to crop to the right of that 1st vertical bar. Not only a lot of dead space, all that white is competing against the main subjects. Overall fine job!

I like the photo. Nice relaxed composition. Maybe a little bit too bright? Maybe? His left arm is blazing. His left pant leg is cuffed up. Thats it. Great shot otherwise!

Except.....the guy should not have worn slip on shoes. Dudes toes should not be exposed for stuff like this...man feet are usually gross :rofl .....my opinion. :thumb

I like the composition overall, nice use of the 'thirds' rule! The only thing I can see that I would change is the crop of the photo - I would remove the horizontal pole right at the top above the gentleman's head and the vertical pole on the left-most of the image.

Pleasing image though! Great job. :thumb

Great composition; there is a natural line diagonally from the girls foot to her knee continuing through guys head. Sharp focus and good contrast. What's not like. May a little shaving of the negative space to the left and the pole, probably should go. Nice work. :D

This is really a fantastic shot. You could do a little dodging and burning and cloning to try to make it perfect, but as it is, your clients will absolutely love it.
