Mahesh-
I just love your photos!! #3 & #4 are my favorite below. I love the composition of #3 and I love the way the flowers draw you into the photo in #4 and then my eyes kept wandering up until I got to the mountain summit.

Thanks, Stephanie! The wildflowers were really fantastic on this trip, one of the best I've seen at Rainier.

Spray Park?
I was going to head up there last night but I wimped out (too tired from my hike and no sleep). Might try tonight or sometime this week, definitely seems like the best spot for sunset on Rainier. I love the shape of the mountain from that side too. Awesome set! First two are my favorites, really like that marmot pose too :D
You're right about the wildflowers, this looks to be a really good year especially compared to last year which wasn't great due to the late snow melt.

Beautiful series Mahesh. What is that little guy in your last photo. I love it. :clap :clap :clap
Thanks, Dan! That little guy is a Marmot. Cute, chubby, rodent-like creatures that inhabit the PNW. They are pretty much fearless of humans now days. :D

Yes, Spray Park, as you already have figured out. Sorry about the mosquitos up there...should have warned you. You hot some great shots too, despite the mosquitos. Nice job! :D

Thanks, Steve! I was completely taken aback by the moon as she made her appearance from behind the mountain. :D

The first shot is spectacular, Mahesh! They're all fantastic but I think I prefer the little moon and the temperature of the pink light more so than the yellowness of the post-dawn. Is this place a bit of a hike from civilization? If so, it's totally worth it. :thumb

Thanks, Doug! I was very fortunate to get all the elements at the right place at the right time. I just about you-know-what in my pants when I was the deer approach. :D

Thanks, Schmoo! I'm with you. However, a lot of my friends like the 2nd shot better...oh well...to each his/her own! :D BTW...these are sunset images. It's impossible to tell, however.
The hike is very doable. This particular location is about 4 miles from the trailhead (so about 8 miles round trip). :D

Yet another set of stunning images! The first shot is easily my favorite out of these but I promise they're all good. Did you manage to get any shots with the deer striking a more photogenic pose?
I've never been to this area before but I'm now very eager to go. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks, Danny! Unfortunately the light was really low and I barely had time to adjust the camera settings to get that one shot. Even so, there is a little motion blur on the deer. Oh well... :D

Sweet series! I was in the Pacific NW a few weeks back and I am kicking myself for not adding a couple of days to visit Mt. Rainier

These seem almost as good as being there!
I like #1 with the deer and 2 for the color but 3 the best because it's different from the typical - the focus on a small clump of flowers with small stream with reflection of the mountain behind that.
