Someone was looking at my vegetable garden and said "Wow, killer tomatoes!"
That got me thinking about that classic horror film....

Very nice shot of the tomatoes. My only criticizm is that there is no feeling of horror or threat in the shot. Not sure how you could make this into a scary or threatening shot, but I think that's what's missing.

Just my $0.02

That got me thinking about that classic horror film.... From what I remember of the movie, I laughed more that I ever jumped. More comedy than horror, so maybe a comedic portrayal might work also. If you could get a horror face that is so bad that it's actually funny, that might work. Just ideas.

Good Luck,
Chris

You can give the tomatoes a Blues Brothers look, black hat and gloves. I think I will have a salad for lunch. :dunno

Actually, I think its funny the way it is. They look really good against the black, and the arms are really funny!!:rofl

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still wondering how I can make the tomatoes more "menacing". All of my Mr. Potato Head implements look goofy instead of scary.

Back to the drawing board. I just threw this shot together on a lark to give everyone a laugh.:D

I think they would wind up looking like the California Raisin character instead of the Blues Brothers.

Enjoy your salad. I've been eating tomato salads and gazpacho for the past two weeks with the explosion of fruit from my tomato plants.

This is a great shot. The reds are very vibrant. I'm not sure the hands do much for it though so if you could come up with an alternative it might work better. Perhaps a tomato squishing a worm??

Why don't you affix some construction paper cutouts of a scary mouth with big scary teeth on it? Maybe some eyes too.

I think the big goofy cartoon hands with some canine teeth would be funny and in the spirit of the movie.

This is the first shot I have seen for the challenge where I have known the movie before I read the title.

Personally I prefer the first one, but I love your idea!:thumb

Like the pics of the tomatoes but they don't say killer to me, especialy with the M & M arms. Maybe a large carving knife cut through a few of them, with some thick tomato juice / sauce spilling out of the cut ones. Lose the arms.
