We have a little indoor garden on our kitchen table. It is four or five assorted plants in one nice container. I've been complaining that it hasn't flowered yet this year and i get up this morning to find this:

I can't decided if I like this or not. Part of me feels it needs something but part of me says it's just fine:dunno Any thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks for looking,

Eric

I like this shot as is. The lighting and background is nice, not sure about the bottom left though. Its hard to say but it might look good also looking up the stem focused on the bud.

Best regards,

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering about the lower left corner but decided to leave it as it was the source of light on the bloom and I kinda thought they went together:dunno It is still in bloom for another couple days so I will give it a try from differnet angles, thanks for the suggestion.

Nice idea and I like the contrast of subject to background, but the blown highlights kinda take it away from me. I also agree with Douglas about the bottom left. There are so many possibilities here while it's still in bloom. Just an idea, how about using your primary light from the back (through the white pedal) with a lite fill from the front. I have this same plant and didn't get a single picture of the flowers which are now gone. Seeing your shot gives me so many ideas, but nothing to shoot.

Thanks for sharing,
Chris
